As above I work as a cnc programmer in avation field, over my 15yr career with different companies I have amassed qiute a collection of expensive tool and some very rare, I need these to pursue my trade and cant afford to replace, all top brands as brittool snapon theng the total about 3kish. Including tool locker

I was dismissed without warning, and no week in hand paid or for no notice period. They will not respond to me at all!

    is that not theft?

    anything I can do?

Get a solicitor, and have him/her follow up with the company for your items.

I'd be off to the cops myself if someone had my property and refused to engage with me.

You might want to also consider whether or not your employment rights have been breached given lack of notice etc but that is obviously secondary to getting your equipment back.

He needs his tools back for work, not locked away in a Garda Station pending a prosecution that is unlikely to ever happen.

OP, the only person who can help you is a solicitor with all of the facts of the case. There could be an employment rights issue alongside the tools issue. There are a few ways to tackle this but realistically, only someone suitably qualified and appraised of all facts can advise.
