    Hi lads,

I just got a remaped car from one guy and after 2 days of driving it I realised there was a manual fuel pump switch for the diesel right in the little compartment above the driver footwell. Can anybody explain to me what it might be?

After I switched it off and on on a switched off engine and tried to start it again it would stall twice and then start for the third time. Any ideas?

It cuts off the fuel if you crash.

It is a manual switch that I can reach with my hand and switch it off anytime - the old owner said it is a fuel pump switch but why would he put it there?

    Its not factory?

Maybe the engine doesn't always turn off when the ignition is turned off?

We will see in the next few days since I only got it but it drives very nice so far I am only wondering what the hell is the switch for since it is not a factory switch. The owner said it is a fuel pump switch but why? Any ideas?

Probably bypassing the relay as a quick fix for some electrical issue that stopped the fuel pump from working as it should.
