    Does anyone know if it's possible to buy a Google Play gift card online as a gift and either add the credit to someone elses account or send them the code so they can redeem it?

    Basically I want to buy Google Play credit online and then email it to somebody as a gift.

    Thanks, so I can't buy an Irish gift card. This is probably a stupid question but can a UK gift card be redeemed on the Irish store?

    Edit: found the answer on that link, the answer is no :-(

    Google Play gift cards are now available to purchase in Ireland. They will be available at:
      - Tesco
      - An Post
      - Argos
      - Musgraves
      - Powercity
      - Homebase
      - Xtravision
    Cards will be available in-store only, not for online purchase. Further retailers will be added in the coming weeks. 
These retailers will offer EUR 15, EUR 25 and EUR 50 euro gift cards that can be used to purchase digital content from Google Play, such as apps, games, movies, books and music.
    People can also use these gift cards to purchase in-app merchandise. People will not be able to purchase app subscriptions or hardware.
 
Google said is will continue adding functionality to the gift card experience over time.
