a sparkplug removal tool is simply just a long socket a rachet normally 16mm. most good socket sets have them at part of the set.

Appreciate your committment but you have not answer.

I know what it is the tool. I got one in Mitchel's in Capel Street Dublin and one in Halfords. I had to return both

the stores both told me that it was for my seat Ibiza, but it didnt even fit down the pipe.

the size of my sparks are 14 MM and the tool was 14 MM . One was long and one a bit short .

So I was asking what is the exact size or name of the spark tool removal for the seat Ibiza mk4 1.2 64 HP?

I cannot believe it si so hard to get one

    Thanks

seriously lad I've never had to use anything other than a sparkplug socket an extension bar and a ratchet ,if your using a half inch socket set try a 3/8 set then the thickness of the socket may be thinner allowing it to go down the hole, if that doesn't work I dont know go to main dealer for the tool or eBay

    Thanks mphalo1,

So I guess there are tinner versions of these sockets .

I know my question sounded daft but after being to two auto-shops and I was given the wrong one I thought i had to ask here.

So oi will look for a " 14 mm SLIM VERSION TOOL " pity thoough I could not find it.

    :)

You're looking for a "thin-wall" version of the socket. It's not an unusual requirement these days.

Yeah, don't mind Halfords unless you know exactly what you want and don't need to interact with any of the staff. Find a proper, long-established motor factors and talk to them.

Halfords is yer man. Reserve online if you don't want to speak to the staff but found halfords liffey valley good to deal with. This is a thin wall socket. Have used it on my qashqai

I have a problem with my 05 Seat Ibiza 1.2. When I start the car the ABS and Brake light go on and a loud beep, similar to the low fuel warning sounds off.

I have had the brake fluid and hydraulic circuit visually checked out and also have booked a garage appointment to have it checked out.

Would I be better off going directly to a SEAT dealer if any diagnostics need to be run?

Will a generic "backstreet" garage have access to the necessary diagnostics and parts should replacement of the ABS unit become necessary?

Hi dolox, just spoke to my mate here in Italy who told me that our cars have a lot of sensor. sometimes they are just glitches. i would advise to scan the ECM possibly by seat dealers. Also i believe there might be an update to the ECM that only seat can do. usually general garages use a generic scan tool and faults are not always found. I would advise you to go to seat.if u use a smartphone. buy an obii adapter and download torque pro app. its an home made way to scan your car. costs about 10 euros :)

My mechanic told me it was a high resistance power feed to the ABS. He cleaned up all the connections to the ABS and then had to Reset the error in the ECU.

I would not have been able to do the work myself, knowing nothing about car electonics, I'd be afraid to mess around with anything to do with car brakes.....

Funnily enough my reading on the subject has made me realise how much stuff there is between driver, pedal and brakes, any of which can go wrong at anytime and made me more cautious on the road......

in the ends at halfords tehy gave me a 16mm slark plug tool but on the package it said 14mm. they said it happens a lot of time .that's hkw all cknfuson started. in the mean time i did full service, changed all fluids and my mpg has improved a lot. i got Vcds software and along with torque pro i read live data while driving.i narrowed down small problems and tje car runs beautifully. 45 l petrol i do 350 miles mix driving and must count that i left the car running many times while fixing it
