"Traditional" present for a first anniversary is paper, so just thinking, is your wife a fan of any particular bands/singers etc? Maybe you could get "paper" tickets to a concert? I know that's a bit last minute, but the concert wouldn't have to be this weekend, you could just get tickets for something that's coming up?
