Teachers assistant

Hi.. I'm looking to start a masters in primary education either sept 2015 or 2016. I'm looking to get all the experience I can beforehand so I have work experience organised in the local school.

I currently work part time in an accountancy firm being paid an awful wage. I have to pay crèche fees myself so I'm looking for a job that pays more as I need to save for my college fees.

Would anyone be able to tell me what a teachers assistant or a special needs assistant typically earns? I'm looking into the courses to help with my application but if I could get a job while I'm saving for my masters, it would be great obviously.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me.

Ps sorry if this is in the wrong forum

SNAs jobs are rare as hens' teeth, due to cutbacks. There are hundreds of unemployed SNAs in the country. You may have an "awful wage" but at least it IS a wage.

If you are looking for a job that pays more, don't go near primary teaching. You will more than likely be subbing for years and it's a real struggle, I am sure you will be making less than you are now.

The other issue is that many schools are using Jobsbridge , despite an INTO directive.
