I have old asbestos tiles roof. The house was built in the 60s. Now I'm worried the asbestos tiles have cracked and the attic is filled with asbestos particles. Do you think it's ok to work there still? There is only insulation boards under the roof tiles, some small places the tiles are bare. And whenever I open the attic hatch will all the dust blow down to the roof below it?

I believe that these roofs are a ticking timebomb. You are probably not too bad if the insulation boards stop the dust from coming in, but who can tell? Do you know if the tiles are actually cracked or is that speculation?
I had an issue with this where neighbours took these tiles off a roof, broke them up and placed them in an ordinary skip. It is happening all the time and there is NOBODY to enforce whatever whatever Mickey Mouse laws we have in this country relating to asbestos. The County Councils, the EPA the HSE all wash their hands of this problem. They don't want to know! The skip companies don't really care either. They just say they don't take asbestos, even though I saw one of their skips being filled with it. It is a crazy situation.
