Sorry for the X-Posting from Dublin forum:

    Hi all,

The only place I have found so far to find dry ice is dryice.ie/polarice.ie.
Unfortunatelly, it's 10kg minimum, with a 17EUR shipping delivery, which is 10 times more than what I need.

Does anyone know of any shop that would sell it in small quantities? I don't mind if the price per kg is much higher.

One solution that I have been eye-ing is buying CO2 extinguisher, as youc an use them to generate dry ice(at ~30% efficacy). That is quite expensive still(count 40EUR for 5kg of CO2 in an extinguisher) but at least it's more "on demand".

    Thanks for any suggestion!

Id try BOC. I have no idea what would be the minimum quantity they would do.

OP, to store the dry ice you'll need a -70C freezer. I once had somebody try to store dry ice overnight in a -20C freezer (domestic freezer) and the dry ice evaporated overnight. If you don't have storage, I'd look as buying from the compamies you memtioned and getting it delivered the day you need it.

Sorry for not being more helpful.

    Thanks IanOBrien, Dirtyden.

BOC is unfortunatelly only large quantities.
@Storage: yep, I know it goes away very easily... That's why I was looking at buying small quantities since I only need occasional small quantity.
Unfortunatelly dryice.ie only sell by 10kg minimum, which is a huge amount, especially considering it runs almost 50 quids with delivery.

For that price I was considering buying 2 5kg CO2 canisters, that will only give me about 3kg of dry ice, but will give it to me ondemand.
