So you mean you're buying it then?

I got it on kickstarter (or indigogo, can't remember). Lots of potential, but despite being pretty cool it's crap to use, it's just not a practical replacement for a mouse, keyboard or anything else to be waving your hand around in the air the whole time, it's just not comfortable.

I got one for free when I signed up for an early developer kit.
But I thought it could be hacked to become a poor mans 3D scanner, but it can't. It just tracks your fingers and any tools eg. pencils you hold in your hand.
So it's gathering dust in one my of gadget cupboards.

I'd group this device in with joysticks and tablet digitizers.
You certainly don't need them for 99% of applications, but maybe there's one specific use case you have for it and drag it out of the cupboard for that.

Ah joysticks, now there's memories of the Atari 2600

Lost my remote, can I use this Leap Motion thing to change channels?

    Not sure, doubt it.

It is the lowest price I've ever seen it, and even the copy/clone on Chinese Sites are on sale for over €100, but it's still hard to justify buying it, unless you're one of the lucky people with 'spare' cash, or just love gadgets :). - It'll still probably end up in the expensive junk drawer.

I'm going to have to retract that last statement.
I just received a developers e-mail update, that SDK V2 will expose the raw image data.... a sort of infrared grey scale stereoscopic image, a left and right image from the two IR cameras.

So that might open up some interesting computer vision applications for developers experimenting with it.

Shame that the price has gone back up to 69.99 now

    Probably a misprice but...

Down to £16.50 + €3.95 parcel motel delivery.

This is a marketplace seller so I expect this order to be cancelled. Anyone any experience with market place seller misprices?

    Cancelled already :D
