Hi I did my leaving cert last year. I'm going repeating this year and I need 420-450 points for nursing. I was very immature last year and did not realise the importance of the leaving cert. The subjects I'm planning on doing are

    Biology (h/L)
    Geography (h/L)
    Home ec (h/l)
    Art (h/l)
Ag science (h/l) never did this but heard it relates a lot with biology
English I did ordinary in last years leaving cert and I'm unsure what to do. Will it affect my points. I am determined to get.
I don't know should I take up a new subject or sit pass English. :)

The English course changes every two years - you'd probably be doing a totally different course, at which point I'd be more inclined to take a different subject if possible.

Well what did you get points wise last year?

If you're coming from a LC of 400 points, it's not too hard to bring it up to 420-450. If you're coming from 200 points then, that's a bigger leap.
