Garage Roof Replacement

    hi,

we have an end-of-terrace house, with a garage to the side. the garage has a flat torch-on roof, which leaks badly. we need to replace it, so we are going to put a pitch on it, and use some form of synthetic tile with a few fixed or openable rooflights.

if replacing a flat roof with a slightly pitched one, do i need to worry about planning permission? the garage is the length of the house, to the side, and the front of it can be seen from the road.

we are also looking to build a porch at the front of the house to surround the current front door, but it'll be larger than 2m squared, so we know we will need permission for that.
