    Hi all,

Does anyone know of any laptops that offer dual hdd slots?

I have a HP Pavillion DV9702ea, bought 6 years go but it just went to that great silicon graveyard in the sky. It has two HDD slots. I dabble with linux and have used the second hdd to hold a linux distribution - I use GRUB to decide which OS to load at boot time.

I would like to keep the optical drive so please don't suggest replacing it with a second hdd.

I've googled but can't find any specific manufacturers/models.

    Delphi.

Most laptops will let you choose a one-off boot menu choice, including ext USB drives, USB sticks, ext optical drives. On my Dell, and my friends Lenovo, you hit F12 while booting. Maybe this would suit you. Or maybe use the optical drive in an enclosure?
