I've applied for a course in Dublin and will need accommodation. Unfortunately, for reasons ,it seems I no longer have the funds. I'll need around 5-7 grand to sort me for the year. I hear the credit union are quite good for student loans. I was wondering what is the best way to go about it, to go with a bank or the CU and what are the repayment schedule's like. At the moment I don't have a regular income, I was wondering if there would be an option of paying off loans after you graduate as I know alot of students in the UK do.
    Any advice is appreciated.

When i looked into it last year, bank of ireland only do proper student loans (where you repay after you finish the degree) for certain courses like medical etc. Not sure about other banks or the CU. Also for a standard student loan(repayed each week/month during the degree) they will look for some regular income and you need a guarantor(parent).
