    Hi
I made one last year, out of a large wooden box and insulted it. I bought a temperature controller on amazon (about €25) it turns on a red bulb until it reaches a certain temp then turns it off until it drops down to a pre-set temp then turns it on again works really well. Typically we had a good march so never really needed it for lambing, used it for some chicks a while back saved a few pound on esb and no fear of them over heating or too cold.

have a large ply box about 3ft x 3ft x 3 ft high with a lift roof on a hinge. mesh false bottom about 6" from the bottom, with 1/2" mesh.
cut a rectangle hole out of the bottom and use a 2Kw fan heater here. it has all you need thermostat and thermal cut out too.
put it up on the back of a flat trailer in the lambing shed for the 6 weeks of lambing and job is a good one.

Used to use the old range in the kitchen when I was a young lad, we some times could spot the lambs that got "too much of the fire" in late summer.. due to the scorch marks!

pm me if you want pics.
