    Hi everyone,
Im staying in buncrana for a few days and I want to cycle up mamore gap one of the days as im a keen cyclist but i need to leave the bike at home and I was wondering what is the best place to rent a bike for a day in the area . Im staying in inishowen hotel if that helps. I was also looking for some tips. I think the hotel has bikes but I'm not sure.
    Thanks in advance.

Don't think there is a bike shop in buncrana, but could be wrong.
There's a bike shop just off the roundabout in bridgend I think rents bikes, about 7 miles from buncrana. Don't know name of shop, but you might find it via Google etc.

Try Cycle Inishowen (no idea what they're like)

Have friends in Buncrana, lovely part of the country.

It's brutal enough doing it on one's own bike without trying it on an unfamiliar rental!

Enjoy your holiday Plenty of beaches (if you get the weather ) you can walk for miles on the pathways alongside the beach if thats your thing

Poor quality footage here but it shows the effort required even by Ras cyclists on Mamore when the gradient hits the mid-20.s!

It is the sort of climb where any thoughts of going fast up it go out the window quickly and then your wrestling the bike at <10kph and <5kph in some cases.

    Brutal.

Found out today that I can get a bike delivered and collected from the hotel for around 12e for a day . But im not sure if I will be able to go out to the gap of mamore because of the weather. And if I do get going I will take my time up the gap as it looks very hard in the video but hopefully the weather gets a but dryer. Thanks for the answers and advice.
