Sowing grass after cutting down evergreen trees

    Hello.
I am just after cutting down a load of those evergreen trees at the back of my property. The digger pulled out the big roots too. I have cut down nearly all the little roots that were left sticking out. They are now just under the earth. And I have now racked the earth over the last few days taking all the stones.
My question is whether I should now seed and roll it or should I spray it with something like Roundup first, leave it a couple of weeks and then seed and roll it.
    Any advice please?
    Thanks.

I wouldn't spray herbicide on any place that you would like to grow stuff.
I would just seed and roll. The trees won't come back from roots.
