    Hi,

I am building a new Gaming PC, so far I bought the case and monitor:
    Fractal Design R4 Black
    ASUS VG248QE 144hz 1MS

    I am ordering from Mindfactory.de

    CPU: Intel Core i7 4790K 4x 4.00GHz So.1150 BOX ( mindfactory.de/product_info.php/Intel-Core-i7-4790K-4x-4-00GHz-So-1150-BOX_962955.html )

    MOTHERBOARD: Asus Z97-A Intel Z97 So.1150 Dual Channel ( mindfactory.de/product_info.php/Asus-Z97-A-Intel-Z97-So-1150-Dual-Channel-DDR3-ATX-Retail_961243.html )

    RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro Series rot DDR3 ( mindfactory.de/product_info.php/16GB-Corsair-Vengeance-Pro-Series-rot-DDR3-2133-DIMM-CL11-Dual-Kit_856493.html )

    PSU: 1000 Watt Corsair RM Series Modular 80+ ( mindfactory.de/product_info.php/1000-Watt-Corsair-RM-Series-Modular-80--Gold_932935.html )

    GRAPHIC: 3072MB Asus GeForce GTX 780 DC2OC-3GD5 ( mindfactory.de/product_info.php/3072MB-Asus-GeForce-GTX-780-DC2OC-3GD5-Aktiv-PCIe-3-0-x16--Retail-_917292.html )

    SSD: 500GB Samsung 840 Evo Series 2.5" (6.4cm) ( mindfactory.de/product_info.php/500GB-Samsung-840-Evo-Series-2-5Zoll--6-4cm--SATA-6Gb-s-TLC-Toggle--MZ-7T_917099.html )

CPU COOLER: Corsair Hydro Series H110 Komplett- ( mindfactory.de/product_info.php/Corsair-Hydro-Series-H110-Komplett-Wasserkuehlung_830242.html )

    FANS: Fractal Silent Series R2 140x140x25mm 1000 ( mindfactory.de/product_info.php/Fractal-Silent-Series-R2-140x140x25mm-1000-U-min-19-dB-A--schwarz-weiss_809056.html )

And I am curious if all these parts fit together, I have been doing research but I want a second opinion on this purchase. Anything I should add, remove, rethink about?

    Thanks for help in advance!

Do you have plans to use SLI in the future? Otherwise, you could cut the motherboard and PSU way down.

I am not 100% sure yet, I think so. Same with the RAM getting 32gb within a short future. Do you reckon all these parts fit together though?

You are wasting a lot of money there in my opinion. PSU is way overkill and 32gb of ram for a gaming PC is pretty much flushing money down the toilet. Even 16gb at this point for gaming isn't needed.

How much is that coming to?

Yeah I get what your saying, I am buying the 1000w to be ready for SLi/extra HDD's etc. I understand that 650-750W is enough for now :)
Can anyone confirm that all my parts fit together?
The 32gb ram would be in the future, 16gb is enough for a good while :D
The price now in total is: € 1.465,92. Shipping will be 30€. I am also buying a 15€ ODD that I didn't include in the first post.

    Anymore thoughts?

You could probably cut back on the graphics card a bit. The monitor is only 1920x1080. By the time you're going to need to upgrade that, I think you'll be needing a new card, not SLI. A 770 would probably do.

Thanks Monotype for your suggestion, I have been in contact with a lot of people/companies to ensure that the 780 card is a better upgrade for a high-end gaming PC than a 770 card, even though my new monitor is capped to 1920x1080. I am not looking to save money, I am trying to create a future proofed gaming desktop :) But I fully understand where you are coming from, appreciated!
However, the big question is, will all these parts fit together, should I upgrade something, check on another MB etc?

It has been recently brought to my attention that a higher clocked RAM is not better than 1600hz-1866hz, I have on my order a 2133hz one, but I have been told it's only clocked by the manufacturers and can cause unstableness in this built. I have been recommended to buy 1600hz, or a maximum of 1866hz. Any thoughts? I will most likely aim for a 1866hz with XMP support.

    Thanks!

Yeah, they all fit together. Usually the only thing to look out for is that your motherboard and CPU are compatible (which they are), so it's all good.

    Thanks!

Motherboard looks like a fine choice.

Higher clocked RAM has been showing some differences in recent platforms, especially if the CPU is overclocked. Yes, it's pretty much just overclocked, but I wouldn't expect instability unless it was faulty.
You can get a frame or two advantage from upgrading RAM a speed step, but when it starts getting expensive, the money is clearly better spent in other areas.

The MX100 is €60 cheaper than the 840 Evo. The Evo is a bit better in a few areas, but €60 is a fair difference.

Thanks Monotype, that helps a lot! I am now wondering what the difference between these cards are:

Asus 3072MB GeForce GTX 780 ROG Poseidon water PCIe 3.0 x16 (Retail)
    &
Asus 3072MB GeForce GTX 780 ROG Poseidon Platinum Hybrid PCIe 3.0 x16 (Retail)

    mindfactory.de/product_info.php/3072MB-Asus-GeForce-GTX-780-ROG-Poseidon-Platinum-Hybrid-PCIe-3-0-x16--Re_969857.html

Which should I get for my motherboard?

    Thanks again all!
