Saw this film popping up on a "Films that are very under-rated" list and then saw Mike Judge (Office Space) was involved so thought Id investigate further.

Anyone ever see it? The Rotten Tomatoes rating looks strong.

A bit of a guilty pleasure of mine & I've used quotes from it on more than one occasion.

    Scarily accurate about breeding rates.

Yeah it's underloved but brilliant. So scarily accurate about how quickly our society as a whole is becoming more and more dumbed down.

Welcome to Costco, I love you... Welcome to Costco, I love you...

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

    welcome to the time machine:D:D

great film, it looks like a very cheap film, but at the same time it looks at what could be a possible future for the human race, all the jokes aside, i do fear for humanity a little more after each watch,

now im gonna get some starbucks;):p

I prefered Office Space (one of my favourites of all time), but Idiocracy is also worth seeing.

It's way up there with The Jerk in terms of comedy. Some of it is hysterical (Electrolytes! It's what plants crave!). Seen it multiple times.

Doesn't hurt that Sara Rue is in it.

Edited cos the rest of your post seems unnecessary, he's even good in White Chicks, like.

Uhm, I don't like the film, just didn't hold together, but thought it had a lot of moments I liked a lot.

A very uneven film, but when it was funny it was very funny.

Absolutely dreadful. I turned it off halfway through, which is something I NEVER do.

To me, I found that the body of the film didn't live up to the opening sequence re the evolution of the population.

That is a brilliant (& quite scarily ominous) piece

Occasionally amusing satire, but the whole concept is based on a flawed premise - that stupid people reproduce faster and therefore our society is becoming progressively more stupid. As if this hasn't always been the case....
