I was employed on a CE scheme for 12 months and was receiving a payment of 208 euro per week. The week i finished the CE scheme i got a job with a well known company as a casual worker, working 20 hours per week over 5 days. Am i entitled to claim jobseekers as well? I'm not sure how it works because even though i'm working 5 days a week, its only 4 hours per day. Would appreciate any help.

If you work 4 or more days in a week you won't qualify for payment regardless of hours.

No you can't claim job seekers, but if you are living with at least one child you can claim FIS.

Chances are that's not the case given the CE rate of pay.

The OP is not on a CE scheme now and is starting a job, what are you talking about!?

But he was and told us exactly what he was getting on the CE scheme. Personal rate plus the top up. Fis is probably of no use to him is all I am saying.

Thanks for the reply's. I thought i was doing a good thing getting off social welfare and into employment, but I'm actually worse off financially when taxes and charges are taken from my wages. I'll just have to try and get more hours.
