Shed for Office

    Hi,

I'm looking into buying a shed to use for my business.

I haven't the first clue about what I should be looking for and would appreciate any advice.

My budget is around 1-2k and as I live in a rented house, something easy to install and take down should we move.

I will be storing wall vinyls/decals in the shed, so I need to know what kind of conditions they should be kept in.
I currently store them in my spare room which is clean, dry and around 22 degrees and they are fine. Would I need insulation and to install some sort of heat to keep a regular temp in it?

I see there are steel, wooden and log cabins but just not sure what would be best for my needs.

Any expert advice and pointers will be gratefully appreciated! :D

what size are you looking for?
Is it just for storage or for use as an office that you sit in.

You could fit a desk chair and a filing cabinet in say 4sqm. for a 28mm wall log cabin kit of that size you are looking at 2K + foundation/footing insulation and assembly.
For a 10sqm 44mm wall cabin with double glazing and under floor and ceiling insulation with a power point circa €5k.
Basic steel sheds are prone to condensation, and you will need a floor and insulation. Quality steel sheds with real windows and rigid doors are not cheap either.
For your budget a reasonably constructed wooden garden shed might be your best bet. Make sure you get one that has T&G timber floor and ceiling, avoid woodchip. Insulation is easy to add (8'x4' 50mm sheets approx €35).

If you want more info PM me.

Thanks for the info guys :D

I will steer clear of steel sheds so, didn't know that about condensation in them.
I don't really need a place to sit in and have a desk etc, just room to store all my stock and have room to move around and do up orders etc.

Sky6 - What do you have?

An insulated portocabin type office. It is metal on the outside but insulated with a Door an Window.
