Was in Curry's/PC World in the Square on Monday and they had a 29" LG Smart TV with SaorSat for €249. Other specs include 2xUSB, 2xHDMI(HD ready), Lan connection.

Thankfully i didn't purchase as a mate went into Curry's/PC World in Carlow yesterday and purchased the same tv for €199. Had a play around with it for a few minutes and picture and sound is very good but i never got a chance to try out the smart features. Great price for a tv with SaorSat and Smart Tv.

I don't think Saorsat means what you think it does. Do you mean it has a sat receiver and a saorview receiver?

    Yes it has both.

Everything that comes through the satellite dish was tuned into the tv. You can obviously only view the freeview channels but it does away with the need for a Freeview box.

SaorSat is a method of receiving Saorview over satellite for rural areas of Ireland that cannot access saorview the conventional way - this is more dependent on the direction of the satellite more than anything else

This television has dual tuners which means that you can receive both saorview and satellite channels without the need for another box :)

I live in Carlow so this deal would be great if it's still around.

Do you know what the stock is like?
