Fibro Frolics

Anyone with Fibro have sore nail-beds? :/ In the actual nail-bed. Not nail itself or finger but down in the actual nail-bed. Feels something like a stubborn quick but at least you'd be able to see a quick if that's what it was, but I'm pretty certain it's part of Fibro as I recall I had the exact same thing in 1 of my toes a few weeks ago, nearly impossible to put on shoe and so sore lying down and I know now that's what it was. It's probably the onset of Raynaud's or 1 of those lovely lil extras we're blessed with I'd say........ An add-on is supposed to be a nice thing but heck I don't think it's all that nice in this particular situation!

Interestingly it's only one individual nail-bed but one at a time being sore is more than enough! And interestingly, it's only one side or half of my nail-bed that's sore. The right side of said finger nail-bed is perfect but boy oh boy do I feel it if I hit the left side / half of said nail-bed off anything or when changing clothes, basically doing anything or touch is near impossible. :/ I'm actually starting to bend in that finger to avoid using it so the top of my finger is out of harm's way like. Ridiculous. :) The finger seems to be getting a bit stiff as well. Well actually all of my fingers seem to be getting stiff.

The front of the nail is fine, it's just the one side down where a quick would be. I wonder is it to do with friction from the other fingers or anything...... But then wouldn't all the nail-beds be sore...... It's really annoying and too sore to do anything or use at all. It feels like one half of the top / side of my finger-nail is burned. :(:(

Anyone with Fibro with nail-beds like this?

Where are all the Fibro Fighters?!? Where do ye complain?!? Is there a secret Forum for Fibro that I don't know about?!? :pac:

I have a flu'-like thing for the past couple of weeks, and just today I've noticed that my nasty frog-in-my-throat feels-like-am-choking/gasping-for-breath tickly cough turns into feicing Heartburn when the coughing-fit passes! How mad is that!! I'm prone to Chest-Infections all my young life but a cough turning into Heartburn is a new one! I've asked Dr. Google and he tells me I have Esophageal Cancer. :)

Any Fibromyalgians (did I just make up a word there?! :D ) have this Heartburn-cough thing?!? It's rather weird.

I've just Googled "Fibro and GERD." :) Wow, apparently this means that food and drink can back up in your throat over-night! That's a little bit scary.

GERD or acid reflux is pretty common with Fibro. I have it and am on medication for it that works well. Does it mostly effect you when lying down/sleeping?

If I let my finger or toe nails grow too long (not cat lady long, about 3 mm beyond the pink liney thing) they hurt, a lot.
Not snagging them on anything, they just ache for the fun of it.

The throat thingy you're describing is one of the flags for ME.
It was one of my first symptoms and it lasts for the rest of your life :D
You get used to it, and when you stop coughing the heartburn does too.

    Hopefully it isn't that though.

Heartburn is weird. If heartburn tablets (the chalky ones) don't work, go the opposite direction and try vinegar or lemon juice. It works, for some bizarre reason.

I wonder if I can get Fibromyalgian on my passport...
