    Hi guys

I've been spending a few hours googling my range issues and seems some of you guys on here are quite knowledgeable so I'm hoping you might be able to point me in the right direction in regards to the issues I'm having.

Basically we moved into a house about a year with a 'Stanley Super Star' range installed, it is running off oil and is heating the water and 7 radiators.
We have an open fire in the sitting room as there is no radiator in there and it's costing a fortune to heat the house so we were looking to get a solid fuel range installed and we were surprised and happy to hear that the range was previously solid fuel, so what I'm wanting to know is it a big job to get it changed back to solid fuel ?
Should I let a local plumber do it for me or should I go with a 'major range/stove company' do it for me ?
From google I see I need some stuff like an ashpan, grate, scraper... but that's just it I don't know what else I would need so I'm hoping someone with experience with a range can tell me exactly what I will need to get.

Where we lived previously we just has the gas heating installed so this is all totally new and just today from checking online it seems we might have been using this range on wrong settings for the past year, so again if someone can shed some light on this it would be great. We used to just click the oil on and that was that, we never cooked on the range just used it for the rads and hot water but it seems there is a little lever at the top that when one way gives full priority to the back boiler and when it's the other way it give attention to the oven, we never even knew about this until today as there was no manual when we moved in.

All in all, is it expensive/big job to get it converted back to solid fuel from oil, what things do I need like ash pan, grate ect.. and will a local plumber be able to do it for me or will it require special tools etc...
Also if anyone has experience with the Stanley Super Star can you advise me on optimum heating settings for the radiators.

    Thanks :)
