Laser eye surgery limerick, best place, cost etc

    Hi guys,

    I'm thinking about getting laser eye surgery, i'm in the limerick area. I was just wondering does anyone have any recommendations on where to go? How much did it cost? I am short sighted around -1.75. would you be out of work for long? Any advice would be appreciated :)

    Hiya, I went to Optilase Limerick for a consultation which was free then had surgery in Cork cos their surgery clinics are in Cork or Dublin as far as I know. I was -2.5 at the time and had laser eye surgery with the lasik I think like 2 years ago. I took a day off work cos I work shift work but I'm sure you could only take a half day if you work mon to fri. Sure go for the consultation and you find out all the options. Really nice guys :) hope that helps!

    Hi,

    Just had surgery in Optilase Dublin - was -1.75 aswell.It cost 2890 for the LASIK for both eyes, this included a €100 referral discount, PM me if you want and I can give you the details to get this. I had it last Saturday (The bank holiday) and was perfect for work on Tuesday, would have been no problem heading back on Monday even. Went home post op and went to bed, woke up about 5/6 hours later and vision was pretty much perfect from there, been using drops are described and some slight irritation from time to time but nothing major at all, some redness around eyes still which is bruising from the pressure but that should clear in next few days, delighted overall!
