Just a quick question re the Historic Maps at OSI.ie.

If I'm not mistaken the most recent one of the three is from 1914 but can anyone tell me the year of publication of the older two?

    They're 1st Edition maps, c1837 -1842

some of the 25" are earlier dates, seem to remember some areas being 1890s

    Thanks Shane.
I'm trying to put a date on a terrace in Legan/ Lenamore, Co. Longford. The terrace appears on the later map but not on the earlier two so I thought that might give me a rough idea of when they were built.

found some of the 25" surveyed 1888..

if you want to check the date for a particular area, select a location, click the 'Buy Map' option top right, then select 'A0 Sheet with borders' option on the popup. The dates are shown for each sheet in the selection.

    That's great Shane.
1912 for the more recent map and 1837-38 for the older ones.
