Hi Folks, one of our "family fleet" has had clutch fail at 85K miles. Car is Ford Focus 1.4 2004 was bought second hand 2 years ago with 65K miles and has been used by young lady driver, I don't think it has been ragged... any views?

Have you driven with said driver? Is she on the clutch a lot at junctions, roundabouts etc.?

I know a guy who uses his clutch to told him at junctions, could be a similar issue

Depends on the person. If it was 85k klms I'd say ya seems low mileage but 85k miles no that's not unusual

100k is usually about the life of the clutch in them. So 85k isn't that early.
