Lets make a douchebag hippy song about money. I'll start. The lyrics should be really shitty and preferably rhyme.

If the leaves would fall would we care at all woa woa oh!
And if the tree would die would we all say bye woa woa oh!

If money grew on trees they would not produce any oxygen.

“Thank you. Since we decided a few weeks ago to adopt the leaf as legal tender, we have, of course, all become immensely rich. ...

"But we have also," continued the management consultant, "run into a small inflation problem on account of the high level of leaf availability, which means that, I gather, the current going rate has something like three deciduous forests buying on ship's peanut." ...

"So in order to obviate this problem," he continued, "and effectively revalue the leaf, we are about to embark on a massive defoliation campaign, and...er, burn down all the forests. I think you'll all agree that's a sensible move under the circumstances.”

Coillte would be the biggest bank in Ireland. Planting a tree would be an investment.

Nope. Money is made from cotton not wood pulp

To avoid inflation you need a leaf to represent 1c or you'd have lots of rounding up of prices.

There's one Trillion Euro in circulation and ~333 million people using it
    So we'd need €3,000.00 each = 300,000 leaf-cents

and you'd be doing well to get that many leaves off an average tree

There is also the problem of bad money driving out good. My big chestnut leaf is not the same as your pine needle or diseased maple leaf that's also infested by mites

Paper comes from trees... therefore money grows on trees.

    Resolved!

I'm sure we'd still have people giving out that they really own all the trees and anyone else taking the money from the trees is a leech on society.

The euro banknotes are printed on paper made of 100% cellulose. The cotton fibres used for banknotes are the same as those used for the production of textiles for clothing. All paper mills involved in the production of euro banknote paper use cotton combers as raw material. These are purchased on the open market either directly from the textile industry as spinning waste, or from waste collectors or brokers
