I've been listening to Audrey carville on rte over the summer filling in on drivetime and on the sean o rourke show. She really is an excellent presenter. I know that she presents the late debate but I think rte should really find a daytime slot for her. Perhaps drivetime?

Carville is a good presenter-she comes across very well imo. Was not a fan of Mary Wilson (think that she asks & answers questions at the same time!) but she is a good all rounder and this show suits her-you can tell from her interactions with the contributors that they like her. The Late Debate during the political season isn't a bad slot for Carville and she is a super sub for a lot of programmes-Morning Ireland, News at One could be options also.

Have noticed in recent weeks that neither Gavin Jennings or Audrey Carville have been on Morning Ireland. Any word on where they have disappeared to?

I hope that she hasn't been snapped up by The Beeb again. I know she does a weekend ethics show for them.

I think Audrey's gone back to BBC Ulster, heard her on there last week.

    Agree she's a huge loss...

Audrey was on fire on the news at 1 today - I missed the start of the interview with the union guy about the Irish Water staff pay rises in 2016. But she was not letting him away with the unions treatment of the staff & LRC.

This thing of asking for apologies from spokesmen for organisations like Irish water is ridiculous, the employees want the money they're due as outlined in their contracts not an apology.

Yeah she's strong on this apologies/condemn lark.

Also an annoying nagging streak. The same question over and over again.

Don't like her much but then who else is any good apart from SOR.

She's on BBC World Service now dissing the 1916 "Uprising", as she calls it.
