Paint rub problem

    Hi All,

This morning some nice person rubbed the driver side rear corner of my navy passat with an unknown maroon vehicle and departed the scene. Its not too bad just very frustrating. Does anyone know of a way to remove the residual maroon paint without leaving a tell tale stain. A neighbour suggested a cloth with a bit of diesel but I don't know  I wouldn't mind but I had decided to look at trading up too.

Any and all comments and suggestions welcomed. Mods - If this is not the appropriate forum please feel free to move.

Try a little white spirit or petrol on a clean soft cloth.

    Hi,

Apologies for not replying sooner. great tip, did it every evening for a week and got about 70% of the paint removed.

    Thanks again
