I am in a rented house that only has oil heating and an electric heater placed into the fireplace. I can take out the electric heater and would like to buy a stove that I could plug into it in emergency as backup so I can heat that room and keep my family warm if the grid goes down.

Is there such a stove, I would like to burn timber, turf and coal no need for back boiler. I have cleaned the chimney and there is a good hearth in front of the fireplace.

In the future when I own my own house I intend on bring that stove with me and using it there, or maybe even as a stove in a shed near the house.

    I hope you can help.
