    Hi all

Looking for a bit of help here looking for some ideas for somewhere to go with OH for Oct bank hol weekend. There are a few criteria in terms of the type of hotel we are looking for:

A nice 4 star plus hotel with a thermal suite/spa. Ideally not a ludicrous price tag max 150/180 per room per night.

Hotel needs to be in walking distance of a nice town with nice pubs.

Ideally the town should be coastal or within easy driving distance to the coast for walks during the day.

Galway and Westport clifden have been done. Would love to inchydoney but not within walking distance to pubs.

Have looked at the maritime in Bantry and seafield in Gorey but are the towns nice enough for nice dinner and a few good pubs.

Would welcome all thoughts and suggestions. Can be anywhere in Ireland.

    Thanks a mill

Not quite coastal but No.1 Pery Square in Limerick. Fantastic hotel.

The Maritime in Bantry is really nice, not so expansive. Bantry is a nice town and you will find some nice restaurants and pubs.

    Hello,
I was impressed with both Ŵexford and Limerick.
Wexford: Talbot (get an upgraded sea view room) is lovely. Whites (be very careful you don't get an underground room where all you hear are cars in car park) are both in town. There are fantastic restaurants and bars in Wexford! There's a fantastic beach a short drive away. It's a really lovely town!
Limerick: the Savoy is lovely (upgrade to floors 7 or higher and you have use of their lounge) Absolute is grand. I personally was disappointed with the room we got in the Radisson (there was no window!) and its quite far out. Lots of lovely restaurants in Limerick too and you're fairly near the coast.
Sligo is a nice town. It has one or two good restaurants and near the coast.
