    Help,

Pal has a 2002 Nissan almera with flat battery, can't access through inside of car to pop bonnet cos the ignition key is not the same as the door lock. Has anyone an illustrative method on how to disengage the bonnet lock from under the car? Much appreciated.

    Chris.

Above post is for a 2004 Almera, but may work for yours

    Thanks,

I had seen that in my research but unfortunately the key for the ignition, the only one available does not fit the door locks...

You may have it sorted but one surprising solution is to ask the local Gardaí to recommend a local "individual" who will open it for you damage free for €20. Many older cars are easy pickings for someone competent who is known to the local constabulary.

Will his key work in the boot lock?

    No,

The key not appropriate for the boot either. Car guy came and had it opened in seconds. I wasn't there to see it for myself.

    Thanks for all the replies.
