If failed repeats?

    Hi all,
I am fully sure that I have failed a repeat exam. My other summer results were good, ranging from A to C grades. I am a final year science student and I have a conditional offer for a masters in UCC pending my final result is a 2:2. I am confident that Ive reached this without the failed exam (5 credit module) however I know I must pass to progress. My summer grade was 33%, and I feel this will be even worse, so I won't pass by compensation. I just found the subject quite difficult. My question to you all is will I have to repeat? The whole year or just the module? Is there anything I can do (apart from go back in time and get grinds), I'd really appreciate any advice boardsies.

You cannot repeat the year in final year (unless something has drastically changed).

A candidate who fails the 4th Year Examination will be deemed to have failed in the overall B.Sc. Honours Degree (based on the combined 3rd and 4th Year marks). A candidate who fails the Fourth Year Honours examination may be awarded the B.Sc. (General) Degree. Such a candidate may be considered for the award of the B.Sc. (General) on the basis of marks obtained in the Third University Examination in Science.

Not only do you not get a 2.2, you don't receive an Honours degree at all. You're getting an ordinary bachelors degree (Level 7)
