How to remove weird ads on certain web pages?

Hope this is the correct forum. I see on certain web pages including boards.ie some unwanted ads showing weird pictures and what seems to be Russian text. I've seen this on Firefox and Chrome. Has anybody else seen them and know how to get rid of them?

I use an extension for Chrome called AdBlock and never see any ads.

It's usually caused by a malicious extension or plug-in inserting ads onto a page. In Chrome go to chrome://extensions - and disable anything that's suspect. "TS Magic Player" is a known troublemaker.
