eyelet punch

I'm looking for a punch to punch holes in a canvas cover, and press in an eyelet which I can run a drawstring through, in order to tie two together.
has anyone any suppliers for this?

Sometimes Aldi or Lidl have them. They usually are only for quite small eyelets, suitable for clothesline type ropes.

You need a "hole and wadding punch", as above, don't know what part of the country you're in but I bought a 1/2" one in EPT in Carlow last year. You could make you're own from a short piece of steel pipe- sharpen the inside diameter with a file or reamer (or use a Dremel type tool)- should do if you only want to do a few holes, especially in canvas.

Or heat a pipe slightly smaller & melt hole in canvas

That will make the hole, but won't crimp the eyelet for you.

So i tried ebay, they wont have it delivered by friday, need it saturday morning

Carlow is a bit too far away

So i went to blanchardstown after work. Theres a tool shop that had a draper, incl 200 eyelets, 13.95.

Amazon do these. They don't need a hole so should leave the canvas stronger.
