    Hi Martinet76,

I have moved your thread to the Weddings forum which would be more appropriate.

You might need to give an idea of location for suggestions though

Collar and Cuff in glasnevin are good.

Looking myself too... so if you discover anywhere good you might give me a heads up.

    Been to these so far:

    MONZA
    DORIAN BLACK
    SUITS IN FAIRVIEW

All fine good suits... but nothing has grabbed me as yet

Are you in Dublin? We went with Astons on the quays for my OH, etc. Probably slightly more expensive than average, but to be honest, there was nothing much in it. Service was excellent and I thought the quality and selection very good.

Whelan's menswear in Naas are decent €120 per suit (inc shirts and shoes). If you get them at a wedding fair you'd get them for €100. Also, a place in Killkenny do deals something like €550 for 7 suits - a bit cheap looking though I found!

    I'm buying a tailored suit for €475.
Never had one before and now seems like a good time to get one.

I'm then paying to rent suits for the groomsmen, dads and pageboy.
Rental prices are €115 per suit but includes shirt, cuff links & socks to keep.

Moss Bros are doing a deal, when buying suits.

You pay full price for the first suit
    75% for the second suit
    75% for the third suit
and the fourth suit is free.

I need 8 suits for myself, 5 groomsmen and the 2 fathers.
So on this deal i can get the 8 suits for the price of 5.

Plus the guy said that he would through in a few extras like ties and mage shirts depending on what suit i go for, obviously if i go for a more expensive suit then he will include more in the deal.

One of the things I am currently looking at is whether to buy or rent the suits.

We have to get a total of 6 suits, 3 of which are groomsmen - we are toying with the idea of spending a little extra over renting and buying the suits incorporating the traditional gift to the groomsmen.

But not sure if we can keep budget inline and then there's also the shirts, ties etc. on top of the suit.

Plus I am not sure if it would be suitable to have the "gift" as being the suit. Anyone any ideas?

That's whT I was planning but the 7 suits were gonna cost around €2k by themselves without shirts, ties, cuff links, shoes etc.

Is say buy for the groom and rent for the rest.

I was thinking of that - because I did want the opportunity to get a suit made for myself, my only fear of doing that is that the suits won't match. I am told that's a "no no"

My suit won't match the groomsmen or dads but that's ok cause I'll stand out as the groom
