I bought a cheap tyre inflator from china a few weeks back and it turned up with a quick connect type fitting I cannot use with my air compressor eq.

I should have payed closer attention but i guess im stuck with it now.

Can anyone identify the one on the right in the photo and is it possible to get a converter to fit the type of air hose fitting that connects to the one on the left in the photo (which the rest of my eq. uses).

Failling that can you recomment a B&M store in the dublin area that sells air tool fittings.

    Cheers

L/H fitting is a KF fitting the one on the right looks like a Schrader fitting.

Never heard of those fittings. The kf one looks like some sort of hose clamp (having googled it) and Schrader seems to make all manner of fittings.

Could you give more info perhaps - links etc.

The threads on the fittings in the photo I posted are different but I don't know anything about them. Are they BSP, BPST, NPT etc. and what size - 1/4" 3/8" etc.

    Cheers

Nope, those pics are both of quick release male couplings. LHS looks like 1/4 BSP. Hard to say for sure. Anyway, this crowd in Ballymount should be able to sort you out. Could have given you the bits free if you has posted this 11 years ago when I worked with these all bloody day. Long gone now I'm afraid. But you will definitely be able to source a work-around.
