Pretty straight forward poll. Do you think TNA will be around come 1/1/2015 after the Vince Russo incident?

    Yes.

They may be operating on a smaller scale, but losing a TV deal does not mean the company is out of business. Worst case scenario is having to cut the likes of Hardy if they wont take pay cuts.

At any rate, I expect Spike to renew them. They get some of the highest ratings on Spike so I think they are just playing hardball to have to pay less.

From what I've heard, although TNA is the highest ratest show, it's net worth to Spike isn't so great, after all your outgoings and so forth. If Spike are trying to strong arm TNA into accepting a pay cut in an effort to make the show more profitable for the network, they will also be cutting some of TNA's resources to make a decent product, so the return may be proportional to that, and I don't know at what point the Carter family says they've had enough putting money into something that just becomes a monetary black hole.

A national TV deal was part of the reason why ECW went out of business. They had PPV money owed which wouldn't be given until ECW had secured a new one, which didn't happen. Is a lack of TV exposure the beginning of the end? In this day and age, no, but it's not exactly a step in the right direction either.

If all else fails, TNA can start their own network featuring content from TNA, TNA from a little while ago, and TNA from a long while ago.

Yes I think they will survive but 2015 is the real test in my books (assuming no TV deal). If they get a TV deal it's going to be a question on what they can afford to keep in terms of wrestlers (I'd expect to see ex WWE wrestlers to go with a higher focus on indie/cross promotional talents from Japan with more paid by appearance clauses).

I also think Dixie is too proud to shut it down this year even if they don't get a TV deal (hence the 2015 comment) but I don't think the funding there is endless either and once it fails on Youtube/own TV channel...

i think they will but only just, be interesting to see what happens after the January tour, I think that will be the time to either fold or come out with some huge news about a new deal or something?

    Maybe relocate to the UK?

I don't know really. I've heard so much that it is hard to sort fact from fiction. Some informed people have said the decision was made months ago and the idea was for it to be an amicable split and to give TNA the appearance that it had leverage to other TV networks.

Axing Russo seems like a move to appease SPIKE. But can SPIKE trust TNA's word.

It’s a weird one. I guess the easiest way to judge is with the black and white Q of will or won’t spike drop TNA? I’d say TNA is very much a sinking ship. At the moment it is a trillion miles away from being “must-see “and outside of Angle (and at a push Bully Ray) it is fairly void of guys you could class as megastars.

There are a few variables that make the future of TNA quite interesting.

-Their huge presence in the UK, where there seems a bit of a boom happening. Could a complete relocation be pie in the sky?
    - Jarrett’s new fed. Once Global gets on track it’s a given that they are going to start plucking talent. It will be easier to twist the arm of some somebody TNA present or TNA bound as opposed to a WWE guy/gal.

FYI I voted yes. It will surely survive 2014.

Per Dave Meltzer yesterday: that California based company that is representing TNA will be taking a percentage of whatever TV deal they may land and that would leave TNA in a worse financial position than they are with the current Spike deal.

It is probably fair at the least to say TNA is closer to their end than the beginning.
