Dublin City Comic Con tournaments!

Hi all,

Just so you know we'll be recording some fighting game tournaments this weekend on he Saturday and the Sunday at DCC. It's a big event but the preodrer tickets are all gone. There'll be some on the door on the day if you want to come. I understand that's a big trip for a large risk for some people

If you're there already, feel free to come talk to us in the games room. I'm hoping to meet loads of new people there. If you don't know what I look like, I'll be the guy wearing various different Doctor Doom t shirts (well, it IS a comic con!)

Just a heads up if you want to come along or even just watch the stream. I'm hoping to have it up on www.twitch.tv/brianvondoom.

What's the format? I assume marvel and injustice are going to be about, considering the venue.

Exact times to come but provisionally there will be SF and Marvel on Sat, Injustice, Tekken and Melee on Sunday.

Probably too late but could I suggest small 4/8 man tournaments throughout the day. Makes more sense at an event like this where people will want to move around.

Could make more sense at cons in general.

I can do the registration desk & run the brackets on Tournament Maker on my laptop if needed? Ar said he might use Challonge on his phone in conjunction with TM.

Just for clarity. TheArcade are running a separate stall at DCC to us. We will be near each other but this is being run by Randomselect.ie/IFGC in all its glory.

I spoke with theArcade director and we going to co-operate so that they don't run the same games as us

Looks like it should be fun and hopefully we can get interest from a few new peoples.
