Hi , I can't find the answer anywhere . Was wondering if anyone knows if btea is assessable income when it comes to applying for fis ? Spouse is due to start a job next month and we were looking at applying for fis. I'm on JA and this will be stopped once he starts working. I'm starting a degree in September and was hoping to apply for btea , but if it's taken into consideration for fis then I might be better off not applying for it. So was wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation ?

I don't think you can get btea if your spouse is working. If you have to give up JA because of your partners new job then you won't qualify for btea, unless Ofcourse it's a part-time job??
