Procedure to cancel Eircom service

I would like to cancel my Eircom landline as I no longer have any need for this service and it is far too expensive to keep. What exactly is the procedure for doing this? Do I simply call Eircom or do I also need to send written confirmation?

Hi Winterfell

A call to eircom cancellations on free phone 1901 is firstly required. A cancellations agent will then advise you of an email address to send confirmation - the email address depends on the nature of your account.
