Wheel help

Bit of a tale of woe here and I'm seriously losing patience so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Basically, I bought Giant Defy 3 at Christmas and I have had a lot of trouble with the rear wheel. On a couple of occasions spokes have broken and I think I have had in the LBS 3 times getting the same problem fixed. Once to replace the spokes that broke, second time to replace all of the spokes on that side and third time to replace all of the spokes on the wheel. It's been pretty good for the last couple of months but today I had to fix a puncture and realised that another spoke is broken and the wheel is not true because it is rubbing against both brake pads at various times of the wheel revolution.

I also noticed the other day that the front wheel seemed to be wobbling when I was cycling. I verified that today and it seems like that is caused by that wheel also not being true.

I'm a pretty heavy cyclist (6'6, 19 stone/266 pounds) so I can only imagine that this is causing the problem and I have read that the wheels on a Giant Defy are not great. I don't see any point going to the LBS and getting it fixed again so I'm thinking I need to replace them.

So does anyone have any advice or recommendations for wheels that will be strong enough but not crazy expensive?

Edit: Found this which suggests that I may be in trouble here :(

I was in the exact same place as you a few years ago but a bit heavier. I did lots of research online and handbuilt were what seemed to be the only answer.
I got a set of Mavic Open Pro rims built on Ultegra hubs for around €250. I have them around 3 years now and they have been fantastic.
Www.roseversand.com do these rims built on Shimano 105 for a good price too.
