So i'm building a new rig and wondering what you guy's think would be the best option here. Money is not an issue but atm I'm leaning towards the single GTX 780TI.

What res. are you planning? If 1440p a single 780Ti would be plenty. If multi monitor maybe look at 780's. Bear in mind you will require a beefier PSU, SLI compatible motherboard etc.

    My specs:
Cooler Master Cosmos 2 USB 3.0 XL ATX Case

Corsair AX1200i Professional Series Digital AX 1200i ATX/EPS Fully Modular 80 PLUS Platinum PSU

EVGA Nvidia GTX 780Ti SC 3GB 384-bit Graphics Card

WD Caviar 3TB SATA 6 GB/s 64MB Cache 3.5 inch OEM Internal Hard Drive Green

Asus Rampage IV Black Edition Assassins Creed IV Edition Motherboard (Intel X79, DDR3, S-ATA 600, E-ATX, 4x PCI Express 3.0 x16, GameFirst II + Intel LAN, Socket 2011)

    Corsair CMD16GX3M2A1600C9 Dominator Platinum 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 Mhz CL9 Enthusiast Desktop Memory Kit

Corsair Hydro Series H100i All-In-One 240mm Digital High Performance Rad Liquid Cooler for CPU

Intel Core i7 4930K Extreme Hex Core CPU Retail (Socket 2011, 3.40GHz, 12MB, 130W, Hyper-Threading Technology, Virtualisation for Directed I/O)

LG BH16NS40.AUAR10B 16x SATA Internal BD-RW Retail Kit

Samsung 840 EVO 500GB 2.5-inch Basic SATA Solid State Drive

In terms of monitors for now I will just be using a single IPS monitor(1920x1080) but plan to get another in a few months. Preferably one with G-Sync

I'd hold off a bit. The new GTX 880 is rumored to be out in September. http://www.pcper.com/news/General-Tech/Rumor-NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-880-Actually-September

I'm a firm fan of single GPU set-ups. I find SLI/Xfire just not flexible enough in realtion to having to have games running full screen.

I'd go with a 780Ti especially given your currrent res it will be total overkill anyway.

I run 2 x GTX 780's in SLI, and never had issues-most newer games have updated SLI profiles/drivers released within a month or so these days anyway. Only problem I normally have is surround profiles.
