Hi all , Im looking to book a few days away with the hubby in September and I'm looking at Albuferia in the Algarve and Alcudia in Mallorca , They are both working out around the same price but I'm wondering if anyone knows which would be better , we are in our early 30's and enjoy a night out , I think I'm leaning towards Albuferia but just hoping to get some opinions from someone that might have been

Going to Albuferia in Sept. Have been there before, lovely place, great night life and plenty to do. Staying in the old town much nicer than the other areas. It's a very hilly area so if you don't like a good climb after a night out, would recommend staying close to the town area. Sept., is a very busy time there so a lot of the nice locations might be booked out, but you could be lucky.......might bump into ye there!!! Check out Booking.com and the reviews of the different places.

I have been to both, but not for a few years now, would have thought Alcudia was much quieter than Albuferia, I'd say you will be better off in Albuferia for what you are looking for

What would the weather be like in Albufeira in late September?

I've stayed in the Almar Apartments, a short walk from the top of the escalators ( see the comment about Albufeira being hilly! ). I've also stayed in the Albufeira Jardim, over the other side. It's up a steep hill, and you will find yourself paying for a two minute taxi ride to avoid the climb...

I've been looking at the vilanova resort , anybody stayed here ?
I know it's supposed to be a bit mad but it seems central to everything and I plan on being out at the club's anyway so the noise of people coming in at all hours won't bother me cause I plan on being one one of them lol

How did you find the Almar apartments? Would you recommend?

@GBXI...yes, I would recommend the Almar Apartments. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment, and found it spacious. It also looked over the pool and had a sea view. Some of the apartments, located on the end of the building don't have these views. :)
