Good morning, in September I will move in Dublin with my family from Italy. I've three sons (5, 7, 9 years old) and a daughter (14 years old). Standing the waiting list problem for school admission in which county is better to rent a house, even 20-30km from Dublin. Thank you everybody who will help

It is hard to say as waiting lists don't just apply to Dublin. Kildare/Wicklow could work .

Schools will be closed until the last week in August anyhow , so you won't be able to do much until then .

The school secretary might be there for the summer .
Do you have a preference with regards to religion or a mixed gender school ?

I don't know of any school secretary who would work for the summer.

The one on our local school does:)

Carabaich1 - you are looking for both a primary school (around 5 to around 13) and secondary school (around 12/13 to 18)

Dublin is huge and that is 2 schools with 4 places so it might be hard to find,if you can narrow down area it is easier to help.
I live in North Kildare and where we are if you want a place in the all girls or boys catholic schools there are spaces but if you want them in the irish school or the Educate together school (co denomination and mixed gender) then you have to have their name down as close to birth as possible.
