Malware on IPhone 5?

Is it possible an IPhone 5 can be hacked?

Reason I ask is tonight when surfing on my iPhone using google I noticed at the very end of the google page it showed a gmail address as being logged on.

This gmail address used a variation of my name with correct birth year that I may have had about 15 years ago. If I did have that email address it would have a long time since I used it and certainly never on this phone.

I have a gmail account but not this one. Any ideas appreciated.
