Naturalisation after 5 years of on Stamp4 EUFAM

    Hi everyone,

I'm a Non EU/EEA citizen and my partner is EU citizen(not Irish), we've been together for about 4 years and for that, I was able to get Stamp4 EUFAM under EU Treaty Rights which valid for 5 years.(3 more years to go)

As per my research, I'll be entitled to apply Irish citizenship(Naturalisation) after my Stamp4 EUFAM expired which I'm considering to do.

But recently my partner has found a job in her own country and left Ireland for good. I couldn't go with her as I also have a job in here. (we don't have any child btw)

1.Is my Stamp4 EUFAM still valid in this case if she's not living with me(in other words, is it still valid for a long-distance relationship)?

2.After spending 3 years from now with this status(not living together with my partner in Ireland), will I still be able to apply for the citizenship?

3.(in relation to question no.2) When I apply for the citizenship, will they request proof of our relationship for past 5 years as they did before when I applied for the Stamp4 EUFAM or will they only check my history of residence in Ireland for past 5 years under Stamp4 EUFAM?

FYI, I meet every other criteria other than above issue such as criminal record, self supporting etc..

Does anyone have any experience regarding this type of case?

I appreciate your advises in advance.

Those are really matters you should speak to a solicitor about

You will not be able to renew the Stamp 4 without proof you are still living together and the 'partner' being present with you in the GNIB office.

When is the money (including lost growth) Michael Noonan took in the Pension Levy going to be paid back?

You really need to speak to a solicitor who knows about this. Remember that it is not your right to be here its your partners right under free movement to have you join her in this country.

    Hi All,
    I have the following questions, I would appreciate if you can kindly advice me on these;

My wife she is a EU national and I have applied for the EU1 residence card and my solicitor did not send them my wife's valid ID card copy and only send them passport expired copy. When I received the acknowledgement letter they did not give me temporary permission and asked me further documents.

My wife's valid passport all pages as they received the expired passport copy.

    EU ID card

    PRTB LETTER.

    BUSINESS RECEIPTS

    BANK STATEMENT.

Now we have sent them all the requested documents with EU ID card instead of passport as she did not apply for the new passport and after 2 weeks they sent me letter in which they written that they have received the documents and retain it in the file but still no temporary stamp letter.

My question is that will they send me temporary stamp or I will have to wait until January as they mentioned in the first letter that your decsion date is in January?

    Thanks.
