If i had to for something small or just a absolute end of days emergency
i would go to malpin in wellpark galway city
    http://www.maplin.co.uk/region/map/13

but honestly would just order online from either as you would save a packet.

PC World, Maplin (literally double the price of anywhere else), local shop that sell bits.

Even ordering from Amazon and getting them delivered next day express before 9am to Ireland is going to be cheaper than buying them in a shop though. The other issue you will run into is even somewhere like the Tottenham Court road will not sell anything specialised or recently released. (Talk about disappointed after my nights winning in the casino in London! :P - Well apart from one shop that was pretty cool.)

Lastly any bricks and mortar are likely to offer an inferior service to the like of Amazon in relation to returns.

Short answer, yes but you'd be better off buying online.
