Do we need a new forum for Foreign IPTV?

The other forum Cable, MMDS, IPTV seems to be used only by posters with UPC or Eircom IPTV. Some threads on this Foreign Satellite forum wander off into discussion of IPTV from foreign countries. The technology is becoming blurred, but watching a programme over the internet, even if it is on a big screen TV is not Foreign Satellite. That needs a dish.

Maybe a mod could give this some consideration.

I am interested in trying IPTV. I have a dream box SD but it’s a bit old now. It would be great to have a page to exchange info.
What type of IPTV box is best for English Primer league 3pm games with English comm., Do the IPTV boxes come ready set up or does the software need changed.
Is it like using a streaming wed site on your computer or is the quality better than that? It there buffering? And are the channels free.
I have read about BEIN sport of NBCSPORTS USA, how per month/year is it to have access to their channals and what box is needed?

I have used satlights for a few years but I I’m a beginner with IPTV, some basic advice would be usful for me?

    Thanks

Not only that but receiver threads end up everywhere.
Note to mods - many receivers can be used for anything (cable; terrestrial; UK/Irish and/or foreign satellite). Just because it's a VU+ doesn't automatically mean it's used for foreign satellite (and the vast majority of the threads are not even provider specific anyway)

But the one that confuses me is geo-restriction issues - there could be some clarification posted on this issue.

Threads openly discuss how to get foreign IPTV services.

A thread openly discusses how to bypass UK geo restrictions on Enigma2.

Yet I've seen stern telling offs and thread closures for other geo restriction discussions (I seem to recall one for Netflix recently - despite the fact that a single Netflix subscription will work if you're moving from country to country).

I don't know anything about it myself and I have no interest in it for the time being. Your post sort of makes the case for a separate forum.

I notice that the Al Jazeera thread which started off discussing dish sizes etc has almost completely gravitated to discussion of IPTV. So you could take a read through that to see if you can gain some understanding of what you are asking about.

the IPTV box of choice at the moment is the MAG 250 (although haven't checked in a couple of months)

although you can use an Android\ I-device \ PC to watch "Premier League Pass" from New Zealand or NBC Sports they have all 300 Premier league games with English commentary, these require a VPN

I suggest you search for this, as I think we are forbidden on Boards to discuss Geolocking circumventing

I think we most definitely need an ''International'' IPTV forum as its a rapidly expanding area.
A place to discuss what to use, what to watch and how best to set up is very much needed.
A concern would be the restriction on Geo-locking and VPNs to bypass such locks but surely a reasonable rule around this could be put in place?

Agreed great idea for a seperate forum. This is going to be the biggest growing medium in the future so lets get in early and get the conversation flowing.

Is there any legitimate way to get IPTV on a MAG box or are illegal servers the only way it is possible? I have never seen anything other than illegal methods on CS websites.

It might be hard to moderate an IPTV forum if everyone is talking about MAG boxes.

i think people are more suggesting the foreign Legitimate suppliers of there content - Bein , nbc etc rather that dodgy streams

Understood, but already in this thread we've had the MAG mentioned. I can't see it being any different in an IPTV specific forum. I don't see a foreign IPTV forum working when discussion is limited to bein, nbc sports and the few other options that people would be interested in. Just my opinion.

I still don't see it working with the MAG dominating the marketplace when it comes to boxes.

This is from the BEIN thread. A foreign IPTV forum would be like this constantly. People don't read charters unfortunately.
can any one tell me how to get bein sports or PRIMER LEAGUE football on IPTV using a now tv/ roku box with plex installed ?
    Can't say around around here!
