Turn Table Repair/ Restoration / Customisation

    Have 2 old direct drive turn tables that I'm looking to repair and do up.

    Looking to change an few things on it like the lights to blue LED's. Does anybody know a good site to buy new decks or does anybody know anywhere/anybody in Dublin that can service my decks?

    I don't know where to start or look as this isnt my forte in music

    Is there anyone else people can recommend ? Barry is away for the next few weeks and I have a set of 1210's in need of urgent attention !

    There was a guy on Adverts.ie a while back called 'Earthman' or something like that he sorted out a set for me and did an amazing job, tone arms replaced, pitches adjusted etc But he seems to have disappeared off the boards and I lost his contact details...

    Any recommendations welcome !

    likewise, i need a set of 1210s serviced asap as the cdjs are sold.

    they have been sitting up for eyars, hopefully its just servicing they require...

    I found that guy I was talking about

    He will replace Tone-Arms, New Pitches and RCA cables for 5o sheets per deck.

    If he needs parts he has a source in the UK and can turn it around in 3 days tops (U will need to pay shipping + Parts if needed)

    I got a set of 1210's that had been sitting in a garage for 8 years and they are like new. He said that if it turns on and the plate spins then thats 70% of the battle won you can get it back to almost new condition from there ;-)

    I have had a few PM's about this and I have replied to everyone (I Hope). I wanted to let you know that I have 3 1210's currently being serviced and I will be making the journey to Louth to Collect them on Thursday or Friday. I am more than happy to Drop off peoples decks when I go to collect mine, it just means that you will only have to make the trip once yourselves to collect them!

    Just throwing it out there if you would like me to do that PM me and we can arrange.
